Great Tips For Beautiful Wedding Videos

The most important tip for anyone shooting wedding videos is to put in a lot of practice before hand. Spend time learning to use your video camera and equipment. Use the rewind, forward, pause and record features and get used to how they work. About one to two months before the wedding day practice with focusing in and out and also panning around an area or crowd easily without shakiness. The key to great video is to have a very steady hand.

It is a great idea to visit and get familiar with the places where the wedding is to be held and the reception afterwards. Get ideas for places you will be able to stand and get the prime shots of the ceremony, party, reception and more.

Let the photographer do their job uninterrupted, this means stay out of their shots and poses and do not bother them while they are snapping shots. Ask close family and friends to make a statement or comment to the happy couple on this most special of days. They can look back on these in the future with fondness and love.

As the videographer you should know how to put in add ins such as music in some of the video background as well as color effects if asked for by the couple. You do not want their most memorable day looking like a cheaply made home movie.

If all of your filming is to be done inside then you may have to invest in equipment for lighting to keep the shots accurately lit and exposure at its best throughout the entire taping.

If sound of the couple saying their vows is an issue then place a tie microphone onto the grooms tie itself. This allows all the words they say to one another in love to be heard clearly and concisely without background interference.

Enjoying Alcoholic Drinks

In the West, alcoholic drinks are never far away from the scene at festive times, but do we aways know how to get the most from these costly luxuries? Too many people these days just think its a question of ‘getting as much down as possible in as little time as possible’. This is the wrong approach.

After all, most people realize that a good meal does not consist of eating as many chips as possible in fifteen minutes, so why should that principle not apply to consuming a drink too? You will get far more pleasure from a bottle of wine, if you spend an extra dollar on it and drink it slowly with a friend and some appropriate food than if you swill down a cheap bottle of plonk on your own. It makes evident sense, but not everyone sees it.

So, with that idea in mind, I have put together a few tips on how to get more enjoyment from your alcoholic drinks, if you are old enough and of that turn of mind.

Gin and Vodka – if these white spirits are your proffered snifter, always keep the bottle in the fridge, not the drinks cabinet. Keep the mixers in the fridge too. That way the ice will survive longer and you will not be tempted to have to gulp it down before the ice melts. If you are having friends around, go one step further and put the bottle in the freezer. It will not go solid. You can even cut the top off a plastic lemonade bottle, put the bottle of gin or vodka in that, fill it with water and then freeze it. Take off the plastic bottle and you have an attractive “collar of ice” around your bottle.

The Last Tot – five minutes or so after finishing a bottle of spirits, tip it out one more time and the bottle that you thought was drained will deliver one more tot of contents. It is not a lot, but it is a pleasant free surprise. The same works for many alcohol based products including underarm roll-on and scent.

White Wine – white wines taste best when they have been gently chilled over a prolonged length of time, but if you get taken by surprise visitors, put the bottle of wine in a jug of ice and cold water. Try not to have to place it in the deep freeze, it is too harsh, but if you have to, then ten minutes is all that it takes.

Port – it is always better to decant port and older, heavier red wines, because of the sediment that may be in the bottom of the bottle, which tastes horrible and because it assists the aeration of the wine. However, it is not always easy to see when the dregs are coming. The books say to use a candle, but they were written a hundred years ago. The concentrated beam from a torch is much better. Try using a Durabeam because its rotateable head allows it to be directed more accurately.

Decanters – from time to time the stopper becomes stuck fast. Tap it with another glass item and it should come loose. If not, run the neck of the decanter under hot water for a few seconds and it will come out.

Labels – if you store your wine in a damp place where the labels are likely to rot or fall off, spray them with hair lacquer first.

What Does Fair Trade Coffee Mean To You

If you have never heard of fair trade coffee, you are not alone. It is a relatively unknown concept that is gaining a greater audience around the world. Fair trade is a way to equalize the profits on goods and services produced by developing nations for companies in developed nations. The worldwide nature of coffee makes it a prime subject for fair trade status, because many of the fair trade products are agricultural products. Fair trade for coffee and other products is a political, environmental, and social movement.

Because consumer and agricultural organizations are lobbying for fair trade status for various products, there is an implicit assumption that the current methods are unfair. Fair trade for coffee and similar products means there is an imbalance in the distribution of profits from coffee production. The fair trade concept seems to be saying that the large, worldwide coffee companies are getting richer, while the small coffee growers and farmers are getting poorer. The goal of fair trading for coffee is to ensure that coffee growers are paid a fair market price for their product. This method puts more of the coffee profits back into the hands of the growers instead of worldwide conglomerates.

The coffee demand is increasing while the price is dropping. That means the large companies continue to profit, while the coffee growers are paid less and less for their coffee beans. Fair trade for the coffee industry aims to move some of that profit back to the growers by requiring that they are paid a fair price for their coffee.

Fair trade is not only for coffee. Many other products, many of them agricultural products grown in developing countries, have fair trade advocates as well. Some of these products include bananas, oranges, cocoa, cotton, fruits, tea, and many more. Fairtrade certification is a way of labeling products that adhere to the fair trade concept. These products bear the words or seal saying Fairtrade or Fair Trade Certified ™.

3 Wholesome Sandwich Recipes Without Meat

Sandwiches are one of the first ever fast food recipes. You can make them in advance and take them with you, they can be consumed hot or cold yet they do not require re-heating. Sandwiches can include meat or not and in fact are a robust meal for a vegetarian. Sandwiches are the vegetarian’s counter to a hamburger. So, I have put three very nourishing sandwich recipes below that do not involve meat.

Recipe 1

French Onion Sandwiches Serves 4

2 tablespoons butter or margarine 4 ounces seasonal mushrooms, chopped pretty small 1 medium onion, sliced and divided into rings 1 cup vegetable stock 1 tablespoon cornstarch 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce 1 clove garlic, chopped finely or 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder Dash of pepper 4 (1-inch) slices French bread, toasted 2 (1-ounce) slices Swiss cheese, halved (optional)

In a large skillet melt butter. Add mushrooms and cook on medium-high heat for 2 to 3 minutes until tender. Remove from skillet, retaining juice.

Cook onion in juice until tender.

Combine stock, cornflour, Worcestershire sauce, garlic (or garlic powder) and pepper. Add to skillet. Cook and stir until bubbly. Boil and stir 2 minutes more.

Put mushrooms on bread. Top with cheese and onion mixture.

Recipe 2

Fried Green Tomato Sandwiches Serves 4

8 ounces mushrooms, sliced 1 substantial egg white 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup cornstarch 1/2 teaspoon roughly ground black pepper 1 pound green tomatoes (3 medium), cut in 1/2-inch slices 1/4 cup low-fat mayonnaise dressing 1/4 cup low-fat plain yogurt 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives 4 green-leaf lettuce leaves 8 slices firm whole-grain or white bread, toasted

Cook mushrooms. Drain on paper towels.

Meanwhile, in pie pan, beat egg white and salt. In another pie pan, combine cornstarch and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Dip tomato slices in egg-whites to cover both sides, then dip in cornflour to coat both sides well. Lay on waxed paper.

In mushroom juice in skillet, cook tomato, a few at a time, on medium-high heat until golden brown and heated through, around 3 minutes. Drain.

In small bowl, combine mayonnaise, yogurt, chives with 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Spread on toast. Arrange lettuce, tomatoes, and mushrooms between toast slices.

Recipe 3

Greek Salad Heroes Serves 2

3/4 cup thinly sliced fresh mushrooms 1/2 cup thinly sliced cucumber 2 tablespoons ripe olives 2 tablespoons crumbled feta cheese 1 tablespoon white balsamic vinegar 1/8 teaspoon dried oregano 2 Roma or small tomatoes, thinly sliced 1 clove garlic, minced 2 (2 1/2 ounce) submarine rolls 2 lettuce leaves

Combine first 8 items in a small bowl; mix gently. Let stand for 30 minutes, mixing sometimes.

Cut a thin slice off the top of each roll and set aside.

Cut a 2-inch wide, V-shape wedge down the length of every roll (as they do at Subway). Keep bread wedges for another use.

Drain vegetable mixture. Line each roll with a lettuce leaf then spoon vegetable mixture evenly on top, cover with roll tops.

These healthy sandwich recipes without meat make a lovely snack or light luncheon but can be kept fresh in a lunch box all day.

Bass Fishing Basics

Bass fishing tips come in quite handy especially when you are a beginner. First of all, it would be a good thing to know that bass are fish whose metabolism depends on the temperature of water. Their metabolism rises proportionally with increased water temperature. If the water where they live is cold, as it is in deeper waters, they are less active and so need to eat less.

Furthermore, in about January one should start bass fishing in warmer and warmer waters because the bass tend to leave cold deep waters in order to spawn. Also, during the Autumn bass begin to move on towards colder and deeper waters where they would be safer during the cold season. However, fishermen should not expect them to migrate great distances quickly. Their cycles of moving from one place to the next as the seasons change can take several months.

It is also good to know when bass fishing that these fish are very sociable. They tend to stick together in schools, especially those of the same size. Moreover, a good bass fishing area is quite easy to identify. Just remember that they are predators, but not particularly active ones since their favourite food is not actually one they have to work hard to get. Instead, they just wait patiently and lazily for prey to swim past and then they pounce on it.

They very often go for injured or less energetic game even though this might not be on their regular menu. Their regular menu consists of crawfish, minnows, worms, insects, frogs and so on. If fishermen learn these things about bass, together with their mating habits, fishing for them should be much easier and more fun.

But, don’t forget that bass are also prey themselves and so they need protection as well, which is why the most successful bass fishing is carried out in areas where the fish can find safety: for example in and around rocks of any size, weeds and any other shady or indeed sunny, well-lit areas where it is difficult for them to be attacked.

However, success at bass fishing also depends on the type of bait the fisherman uses. The bait should be varied according to both the season ” spring, summer, autumn or winter ” and the spawning cycle of this fish. Beginners should take heart from the fact that there are always experienced anglers ready to provide a tip – don’t be afraid to ask because the most effective bait does vary from one region to the next.
